About

Preeti Mohindru

Preeti Mohindru joined USV College in 2016. Prior to joining USV, she worked as a teaching assistant, lab instructor and invited lecturer at the University of Guelph in Canada. As a mathematics instructor, her aim is to develop students’ problem solving skills, to ensure that they understand relevant concepts, and to encourage them to communicate mathematical results and ideas clearly.

Preeti holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Guelph in Canada. In her doctoral program, she solved a famous mathematical problem – developing a proof for the DJL Conjecture for CP Matrices over Special Semirings – which had gone unsolved for twenty years. Her areas of specialization are Matrix Theory, Semiring Theory, Linear Algebra, Graph Theory and Combinatorics.
