James McTigue, Adjunct Professor, has over 4 decades of professional experience in acoustics, audio, broadcast, and film.

His experience has spanned production, equipment and facility design and manufacturing, and acoustic research and development.  His career began at the legendary A & R Recording Studios and progressed with positions at other notable companies including Automated Processes, Inc., Sigma Sound Studios, Altec Lansing, Radix Systems, Euphonix, and Avid.  Currently, he is also as an independent technology consultant.  He has co-chaired the AES’s 129th and 133rd Conventions and served as Vice President and Governor of the local Recording Academy Chapter.  He is a member of IEEE, Recording Academy, Audio Engineering Society, and Alpha Pi Mu.
