Archives: Mira Nikolic

Mira brings 17+ years of feature animation industry experience and passion for teaching computer graphics to future technical directors and technical artists. She serves as Assistant Professor in the Digital Arts and Animation program at Cogswell College. She worked at Disney Feature Animation, Pixar Studio, Digital Image Movers and PDI/Dremworks. Mira specialized in physically based modeling and animation techniques and contributed to the crowd simulation and cloth simulation pipelines at Disney Feature Animation and Pixar. As an effects technical director Mira worked on many shots including crowd simulation in Hunchback of Notre Dame, water simulation in Incredibles and Tarzan, particle simulation in Schrek and Nemo Submarine Disneyland ride. She was part of the team that developed rendering pipeline at Image Movers Digital using Renderman. Degrees: BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Novi Sad, Serbia MS in Computer Science from City College of New York, CUNY Graduate Center
