The business office is the department at Cogswell College that handles student billing and payment.
We work closely with the Financial Aid & Academic Advisors to help students execute their financial plan. If students or parents have any questions about account balances, charges, payments, student refunds, or payment plans, please contact the Business Office.
Students can make payments via any of the below methods:
- via cash
- via check (payable to Cogswell College & addressed to the Business Office)
- via credit/debit card from the students web portal by clicking on the my ledger tab
- via credit/debit card from any personal Paypal account by sending payment to Paypal@Cogswell.edu and referencing the students first + last name
- via credit/debit card over the phone by calling the Business Office
Students should pay based on their emailed award letter estimate. Payment due dates are posted on the payment calendar on the website under the “Financial Aid” section and also shown on the students award letter. If any billing adjustment is needed either after the add/drop period or throughout the term the business office will issue a refund check for overpayments or contact the student to advise of any additional balance owed. Statements will be mailed before the start of the term, after the add/drop period, and near the end of the term.
Students can establish a payment plan to pay the cash balance owed for each term over multiple payments. A $50 deferral fee is assessed. Please see the payment plan policy or contact us for more details.
The Business Office will send payment related reminders and notifications to students via their Cogswell email. Students should check their Cogswell email frequently.
If the student would like to authorize the parents (or any 3rd party) to talk to the College directly about account specifics (balances owed, etc.), the student would need to complete a Student Consent to Release Records (FERPA) form allowing the College to discuss the account with the designated individual (parent, etc.).
